SATSANG SEASON in INDIA!
I arrived in India after 48 hours of flights and no sleep, just in time for Deepam (the Festival of Light) in Tiruvannamalai. What exuberance! At the twilight moment when the beacon is lit on top of the holy mountain Arunachala, the whole town suddenly cries out in joy and reverence. One cannot but be moved by the upsurge of heartfelt feeling from thousands of people. Suddenly the humid night explodes in fireworks: rockets shoot up all around the mountain and crackers explode in every backyard.
I am home again.
Days followed of running around looking for somewhere to stay, settling in, and preparing for my series of Sharing the Quest with seekers, on a rooftop with a background of Arunachala. Many other Western teachers are arriving in town and setting up shop.
The Satsang Season has begun!
After the first meeting, an enthusiastic group of seekers pressured me to give them Mantra Sessions as well. Ah, well. Bang goes my book-writing time!
